Rita, born and raised in Antwerp, was first introduced to yoga ten years ago during an Ashtanga class. She was immediately struck by the repetition, the breathing, the sweating and the intense focus. At first, it was mainly the physical aspect that appealed to her. But gradually she began taking more classes, and noticed how yoga also began to penetrate her on a deeper level. It became her therapy, her medicine. For the first time, she really felt her body. She learned to turn inward, and found a deep peace there, a feeling she has wanted to share with others ever since.
The idea of teaching herself grew slowly. Teaching was not unknown territory for her: she had previously gained experience as a ski instructor and as a teacher of spinning and step aerobics. Meanwhile, she completed the 200-hour yoga training at Antwerp Yoga. This training was intense and enriching: a dive into the world of yoga, full of inspiration, encounters and self-insight.
Today Rita is grateful to be able to guide others on their yoga path; with attention, gentleness and belief in the connecting and healing power of yoga.

The idea of becoming a yoga teacher grew gradually. Teaching was already familiar to her: she had previously taught skiing and led spinning and step aerobics classes. Eventually, she completed the 200-hour yoga teacher training at Antwerp Yoga. The training was both intense and transformative, a deep dive into the world of yoga that brought not only knowledge and inspiration, but also a deeper connection with herself.
Today, Rita feels grateful to guide others on their yoga journey; with presence, care, and a deep trust in the healing and unifying power of yoga.
